Tony Lovato Announces Reformation of Mest; New Music on the Way
It’s been over two years since Mest announced their official break up. After a few short-lived music projects and a 2007 arrest, singer Tony Lovato has decided to bring Mest back to life.
At this time, there is no word on whether Jeremiah Rangel, Matt Lovato, Nick Gigler, or even original guitarist Steve Lovato, will return to the pop-punk band. At the Mest reunion show this past March in Anaheim, California, Lovato performed Mest songs with a backup band that included members of Bleed The Dream.
A recent press release from One Moment Management confirms that Lovato has been writing new Mest songs and hopes to have the followup to 2005′s Photographs out as early as fall … and a tour might be happening as well (fingers crossed).
Rangel and Matt Lovato have remained a low profile since the group disbanded in 2006. Meanwhile, drummer Gigler has joined The Get Go, a pop-punk band made up of ex-members of Allister, Showoff and … of course … Mest.

Dance Gavin Dance to Release ‘Untitled’ Record Following Summer Tour
With a new lead singer and third full-length due August 19, Dance Gavin Dance are ready to show the U.S. what they’re made of on their summer tour with A Static Lullaby.
The band’s self-titled record contains 13 songs and will put singer Kurt Travis’ vocals to the test. Travis joined the band in late 2007, following the departure of original singer Jonny Craig, who left due to constant conflicts with the rest of DGD.

The Party Star tour kicks off Saturday in Seattle and ends August 16 in Salt Lake City. Four Letter Lie, Secret and Whisper and Lower Definition will serve as openers for the entire tour.
