Jean Paul Makhlouf in Cash Cash is Easily Persuaded by a Girl with Sweet Lips

Jean Paul Makhlouf used to jump barbed wire fences to save puppies, but now he rocks out as the lead singer of Cash Cash. Buzznet thought it was only appropriate to go behind closed doors with the lead singer that brought us the song ‘Party In Your Bedroom’. We can’t claim we are taking you where no girl has been before, but when catching up with Jean Paul Makhlouf we did find out that he hates hair on the shower walls!?

Buzznet: Do you have a morning bathroom routine? If so what does it entail from when you get out of bed until you are dressed for the day?

Jean Paul Makhlouf: As sad as it is, the first thing I always do in the morning is literally roll out of bed onto my computer to check my email/myspace etc… Haha, where most people get up and read a newspaper, I’ll read music blogs and music sites to find out about new things in the music scene. Then I get up and eat my breakfast, brush my teeth, and shower. Note the brushing of the teeth must always come before the shower…on days where I forget and brush after…things just don’t feel right…might be OCD. I don’t know…either way always brush before shower!!!

Buzznet: Who was your first kiss? Details … How old were you? Where were you?

Jean Paul Makhlouf: My first kiss was this girl Lauren P back in 4th grade on the playground during recess. Afterward I felt like a new man…haha

Buzznet: What do you have hanging on your walls in your bedroom? Posters? Artwork?

Jean Paul Makhlouf: A lotta posters. I have Jenny McCarthy staring me down before I go to sleep. ☺ I have some signed Goo Goo Dolls posters. Some Dashboard Confessional, Stone Temple Pilots, & Blink 182 posters

Buzznet: Do you have any fetishes? Any pet-peeves?

Jean Paul Makhlouf: Hmm… fetishes I’m definitely big on biting…I’m like a cheetah! Rawrrr!
As for pet peeves…I hate hair!! I can’t stand hair in the shower or anywhere!! Haha it kind of sucks too cause our drummer has an Afro and on tour he always fills the showers with pounds of hair!

Buzznet: What is the first quality you look for in the opposite sex?

Jean Paul Makhlouf: I think the first thing I usually look for is style…To me there’s nothing sexier than a girl that can dress up and strut her stuff like she owns the place and pull it off confidently, but hey I can’t lie I’m easily persuaded by a girl with sweet lips or a big butt!!

Buzznet: What do you wear to sleep at night?

Jean Paul Makhlouf: Obviously naked because there’s always a party in my bedroom, but if not naked I usually sleep in a pair of boxers and a t-shirt.

Buzznet: Do you have a nickname?

Jean Paul Makhlouf: My friends back in high school called me JP but that’s died down now and I’m back to having my real name!!

Buzznet: What was your first job? What was your worst job?

Jean Paul Makhlouf: I worked at an animal shelter for 3 years before doing the band full time. It was such a rewarding job and so much fun. I pretty much got paid to play with furry little animals. My worst job was probably working as a cashier at Pathmark. Yeah, that job totally sucked…

Buzznet: If you could be in the Summer Olympics which sport would you compete in? Any why?

Jean Paul Makhlouf: Obviously the shuttle run…I was always the sickest in gym glass. Like I said before, I’m like a cheetah. Rawrrr!

Buzznet: What song do you know every word to, but are totally embarrassed that you know so well?

Jean Paul Makhlouf: None, I have no shame…I will sing any Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, or any stupid pop song any day! Chances are the more embarrassing the song is to most people, the more I probably like it, if that makes any sense..

Buzznet: What text message or voice mail do you regret sending to someone so much that you will never forget doing it? Who was the person?

Jean Paul Makhlouf: One time on the way back from meeting with a record label who I won’t mention.…Sam’s phone accidentally dialed an A&R at the label and their voice mail totally recorded all the trash we were talking about them…. It probably had something to do with why they never called us back after that…. but it all worked out for the better! ☺

Buzznet: Which era do you most wish you lived in and why?

Jean Paul Makhlouf: I think I’m really grateful to grow up in this era because were at a point where anything goes. People are pulling from so many amazing eras to make their own style with whatever they are doing…from music to art, from clothing to lingo! It seems like right now the trend is to be bright, fun, energetic, and to not take yourself to seriously…and to me that last part is very important. I found that if you don’t take yourself too seriously, other people will take you seriously and you become a more pleasant person to hang out with. The last time that people didn’t take themselves to seriously was in the 80’s and to me the 80’s seemed like a pretty rad time!

Buzznet:  Do you have any scars? If so what happened? If not name one imperfection on your body?

Jean Paul Makhlouf: True story, I have a scar on my right arm when I jumped a barbed wire fence to save a little puppy while working at the animal shelter.

Buzznet: If we gave you sourdough bread and you could put anything on your sandwich what would it be?

Jean Paul Makhlouf: I would put turkey, avocado, lettuce, tomato and possibly some bacon…. mhmm yummm

Buzznet: When you hear the word “oatmeal” what is the very first thing that comes to your mind?

Jean Paul Makhlouf: Cinnamon raisin. The end.
