Nicole Anderson Steps Out With The Jonas Brothers

Rising star Nicole Anderson plays a superfan in the new Jonas Brothers‘ TV vehicle, the aptly named Jonas. But now we know why she’s attracting fans herself…

In Buzznet’s exclusive interview (conducted by our own Ms. Hanna Beth), Nicole reveals that she does have certain things in common with her character in the new Disney Channel series: she’s athletic (she was a serious gymnast in real life before turning to serious acting), and not unlike many other girls, she somehow turns a little klutzy around the JoBros. “I’m definitely a klutz in real life,” she says.

Though she wasn’t quite sure what to expect from them — “just because, you know, it’s the Jonas Brothers” — she found them “so down to earth.”

Not that they weren’t above a little punking of their co-stars, including Nicole’s BFF Chelsea Staub. “They were the hugest pranksters,” she says.

Check out the interview to hear about the “whole pranking war” and the nearly tear-inducing trick Joe Jonas engineered on his castmate.

No Doubt Giddy About “The Procrastination Tour”

I’m mad jealous of the Bamboozle attendees who get to witness the glory that is No Doubt this coming weekend. But following the Borgata show and Bamboozle comes their big deal tour with Paramore, which means the band begins to write new No Doubt songs! At last!

Gwen Stefani explained how this tour is intended to get their creative juices flowing:

“We’re calling it ‘the procrastination tour’ … well, I am, at least. I’m the biggest procrastinator,” Gwen Stefani laughed. “It’s not their fault, it’s my fault, because I had this whole game plan: ‘OK, I’m gonna go on tour with my last record, I’m gonna come home, I’m gonna get pregnant, I’m gonna have a baby, but while I’m pregnant, I’m gonna make the No Doubt record.’ That was, like, the plan, but it all didn’t work.

“Like, we got a lot of hang-out time and we talked and had so much fun together, but we didn’t actually make too much music,” she continued. “Maybe around 4:45 to 5 o’clock we’d actually play the instruments and then we’d all have dinner. There was a lot of eating going on.”

In an interview with AOL Music, Gwen said she didn’t expect to write any songs while on this tour, but that she knows she needed “to change the atmosphere, get out of my house and not be in mom mode. To be onstage and see people singing those songs that we wrote, there’s nothing more inspiring than that… What we’re searching for is a new direction, new inspiration and new music.”

The tour begins Mat 19 in Fresno, California. I just might sell my soul to go to more than one concert date.

As you may recall from my interview with TOM DUMONT (!!), the band are taking their families on this tour. In the May 2009 issue of Spin, Stefani mentions that for this first time since they formed 23 years ago, they’ll be riding in separate buses. I guess that what it takes to bring your kiddies with you. And their nannies. And your crew.

Don’t forget that No Doubt’s appearance on Gossip Girl airs May 11th! The CW has some photos already, check it:

Ohmygod, I hope youre prepared for the level of fangirl I’m going to reach. Haha.

Jackson Rathbone Doesn’t Want To Deface Your Face

Listen, Twilight fans, sometimes you just go a little too far. Jackson Rathbone, who plays hot (dare I say hotter than Rpattz?!) bloodsucker Jasper Hale in the movie, will not autograph your face. Or, maybe he will, but he’ll be slightly uncomfortable about it.

Your boy Jacksper graces the pages of Inked Magazine’s latest issue, talking about his future tattoo-ambitions.

“I only have one right now, but I definitely plan to get more,” Rathbone reveals. “My friends and I were kind of the bad kids, in school, the troublemakers…The school administration was like, ‘Stay away from those boys-they’re ‘Lost Boys,’ so that’s what everyone called us. When I was 18, I got a tattoo that says, ‘I’m lost.’”

“I’d love to get the Rathbone family crest on my back—it would take up my whole back. Our motto is ‘Suaviter et Fortiter,’ which means ‘nicely, but firmly,’” Rathbone says. “My dad always taught me that you’ve got to give respect to get respect, and you’ve got to give love to get love. Makes sense, right?”

Mmm. I approve.

Rathbone, as you probably know, is also a rocker, playing in a band called 100 Monkeys. So he has groupies off all kinds flocking to him.

“The 100 Monkeys fans are wild—one of my bandmates once got molested in a bathroom after a show,” Rathbone says. “The Twilight fans are so amazing—they’re always asking me to sign stuff, like their faces, or their cell phones. I’m like, I don’t want to de-face your cell phone! And I especially don’t want to de-face your face.”

I’m eye-rolling right now for the obvious comments you’re making in your head. Yes, I can hear your thoughts.

Ask Ashley Tisdale

Have you got some burning questions for Ms. Tisdale? About Guilty Pleasure, perhaps? (in stores June 16th). Go make a comment and she will answer a bunch of them via vlog or journal post. I kind of want her necklace in this photo but it’s probably a bajillion dollars.

New Paramore Album In September!

At long last, we have a tentative date for Pmore’s Riot! follow-up, according to MTV news. There’s no title decided yet, but the band has a few more days in the studio and then they get to chill at home until the No Doubt tour. Hayley Williams blogged about the beginning of the press-frenzy over the new material, but offered some of her own insight on the band’s LJ.

most of the songs you’ll hear have to do with friendship. in fact, this is the first paramore album that wasn’t written mostly about love relationships. i have made a lot of friends and i’ve lost a lot of friends over the past couple years… and it’s all gonna be there for you to dissect. i think, too, that the past couple years were some of the first times in a while that i’ve felt the burn of other people’s ignorance… a lack of patience and a quickness to judge. it forced me to “grow up” and realize what’s real. who’s worth the pain and who’s not. i’m most proud of these lyrics because they were the healer. a couple of these songs and their lyrics acted like some kind of therapist… forcing our band to talk out the true issues we’ve dealt with.. both as a band and personally. i owe a lot to these songs! of course, i’m nervous about putting it all out there on the table… but what else is there to do!? i’m just as excited to hear people’s thoughts.

Eee I can’t wait to hear something new! I wish I could afford to go to every SoCal No Doubt/Paramore tour date. Sigh.

Oh, she also posted “ps. “you don’t deserve a point of view if the only thing you see is you” and confirmed that’s a lyric from one of the songs.

What To Expect From Demi Lovato’s New Album–Besides The William Beckett Touch

Pop princess in traning, Demi Lovato, was hangin’ around the Radio Disney station recently and did some chatting about her new album, new tour and the people she was stoked to work with.

Homegirl has a new album hittin the waves in July, which she claims will be “a little bit more soulful, but still me.”

The last tour she was on stressed her out a bit, she hopes to be more relaxed this time… mostly so she can stress out her security guard.

And in this last clip, she gushes some praise for Billy Beckett.

Demi, who recently popped up on Buzznet, will be playing the Bamboozle Festival in NJ on May 3rd.

Hunter Burgan Analyzes This … Rihanna, Katy Perry, Jonas Bros And Girl Power

Some pictures, as I am learning, are worth 1000 words, but after I’m done with them, you’ll be lucky if you can pawn them for 200 words. For the third round of Analyze This, I spent the usual 30 seconds of my precious time analyzing 3 images: one was uploaded by a Buzznet member, one is the Jonas Bros album art and the other is a random gossip blog picture.
We’re On A Mutha F*ckin’ Boat

“Hey Katy Perry, did you remember to wear sunblock?”
“Uh…no?”
“You better put some sunblock on, Katy Perry!”
“Shut the hell up, Rihanna! I am SICK and TIRED of you telling me what to do!”
“…”
“…”
“…”
“Just f*cking with you!”
“LOL!”

P.S. I was actually on a boat with Rihanna once, but then, unfortunately, I woke up.

Don’t Mess With Girls

This picture reminds me of my sister. You see, my sister was involved in a boxing league when we were kids. I don’t remember what age she started or how long she boxed for, but I remember the sound of the speed bag, which is still in her old bedroom. At some point she stopped training, and I like to think it was because there was no one left for her to fight. She was forced into retirement. That’s what happens to all the great fighters, and my sister is no exception. One time, when we were much younger, my sister punched me in the face and I got in trouble for it. Even though I was bleeding out of both nostrils, she somehow convinced our mother that it was my fault. “That’s what you get for trying to smash my fist with your nose.” The moral of the story is: Don’t mess with girls.

Lines, Vines, and Trying Times?

Really, guys!? Trying times??
When I close my eyes, I imagine that life is really hard for these guys.
I know they’re all grown up now, and they have their own apartments, and they comb their hair up now, but it’s pretty obvious that their mother still dresses them. She’s a pretty savvy online shopper and probably picks out their clothing from the sale section at www.safarigear.net. I bet the JoBros hate it. They just want to go on their first “grown up” safari without mommy Jonas and her picnic basket full of PB&Js with the crusts cut off. Trying times.
