Cassadee Pope is the lead singer and the only girl in the pop-rock band Hey Monday. Cassadee took a break from the Let’s Make a Mess Tour with This Providence, The Friday Night Boys, The Bigger Lights, and Stereo Skyline to take Buzznet Behind Closed Doors with her. Find out what Cassadee looks for in guys, how she decorates her room and what makes her blush.

Buzznet: Do you have a morning bathroom routine? What does it entail from when you get out of bed until you are dressed for the day?
Cassadee: I wash my face, brush my teeth, and then get dressed. Usually the first thing I do is stretch in bed.
Buzznet: What do you have hanging on your walls in your bedroom? Posters? Artwork?
Cassadee: I share a room with my sister and we actually don’t have anything on the walls. Except for a few mirrors. But I haven’t been home in a while. Last time I went home, my mom framed a picture I did with Rolling Stone in Japan and hung it up in our room. It was a little awkward for me so she took it down!
Buzznet: What is the first quality you look for in the opposite sex?
Cassadee: I look for eyes first. Not just the color, but you can tell a lot about a person by their eyes.
Buzznet: What do you wear to sleep at night?
Cassadee: I sometimes just sleep in the clothes I wore that day. Gross, but it’s not worth it to me to go in the bathroom and change. The dudes are lucky. They just undress in front of everyone.
Buzznet: Do you have a nickname?
Cassadee: My tour manager calls me C-Money and some people call me Cassadaga.
Buzznet: What was your first job? What was your worst job?
Cassadee: My first job was at a beachy/alternative clothing store. And it was the worst job EVER.
Buzznet: If you could be in the Summer Olympics which sport would you compete in?
Cassadee: I love watching gymnastics. If I could flip my body around like those people, I’d enter in a heart beat.
Buzznet: What song do you know every word to, but are totally embarrassed that you know so well?
Cassadee: “In The End” by Linkin Park
Buzznet: Which era do you most wish you lived in and why?
Cassadee: I wish I lived in the 50′s. The parties were in the ice cream parlors and holding hands was a “big deal.” I love the clothes they wore. Especially the poodle skirts.
Buzznet: Do you have any scars? If so what happened? If not name one imperfection on your body.
Cassadee: I have a scar at the bridge of my nose from fallout out of my bed one night.
Buzznet: If we gave you sourdough bread and you could put anything on your sandwich what would it be?
Cassadee: I’d put some ham and mayonnaise on that bread!
Buzznet: When you hear the word “oatmeal” what is the very first thing that comes to your mind?
Cassadee: Throw up.
