New Video: Gorillaz “On Melancholy Hill”

I’m not going to pretend I understand what the acid trip is going on in this awesome new Gorillaz music video (directed by Jamie Hewlett) but here’s what I got out of it: Titanic overtones, pirate pilot bombers, super bad-ass girl with giant gun, one of the Gorillaz spits out an entire one-eyed octopus, Snoop Dogg, De La Soul, and Lou Reed are just driving around in submarines (NBD), there is a giant beached rhino whale with a creepy alien man scratching his back, and we end up at the Gorillaz secret hide-out which resembles the place the Jetsons lived. I’m hungry. The end.
