On Friday in Los Angeles, those sophisticated chaps known as OK Go held a video release party on the roof of the LACMA in Los Angeles.
The video, as you SHOULD have seen by now (I also gave you another opportunity, above), was a creative 5-month process amongst the band and SynLabs. A week before the video debuted, we got invited to take a Damian-guided tour behind the scenes. Read about that here.
And last night was the time for celebration, as all the engineers were in attendance, spiffed up in tuxedos. We spent the first part of the evening oogling all the parts of the machine on display, and taking pictures with them.
This is easily the best Friday ever, guys, because today’s dose of music from your Buzznet peers is simply magical. It is Friday and it is time for you to do nothing but listen to the almighty Judas Priest, one of the best metal bands to have ever existed in this timeline on this planet. cikbuds10 chose the best songs for you. So party so hard your head falls off. Literally.
Our run of power metal bands for Daily Music Dose is going to be briefly interrupted by some good ol’ Massachusetts hardcore punk. Today’s dose is of Dropkick Murphys. Check out their write up by emoisforluvers. You won’t regret it.
Fans haven’t heard much from My Chemical Romance since they announced that they were cancelling several tour dates due to lead singer Gerard Way’s throat problems. And now we have another update from them, but it certainly isn’t good news.

Frank Iero posted the following on the band’s official web page earlier today:
As of 4 weeks ago, My Chemical Romance and Bob Bryar parted ways. This was a painful decision for all of us to make and was not taken lightly. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors and expect you all to do the same.
