Behind Closed Doors: Drinking And Kissing With CocoRosie

Buzznet: What do you wear to sleep at night?

CocoRosie: Over sized vintage Men’s boxers, preferably tea stained.

Buzznet: What was the last dream you had?

CocoRosie: I can’t remember, but I do a lot of flying and recently I woke up with the phrase on my tongue, “The problem with magic is that it leads to madness.” In the dream I was practicing levitation.

Buzznet: Do you have a morning bathroom routine? If so what does it entail from when you get out of bed until you are dressed for the day?

CocoRosie: No routines really, I’m a vagabond so I have to deal with whatever kind of facilities I’ve got. I’m good at transforming myself in public bathrooms and all kinds of other hobo tricks.

Buzznet: Who was your first kiss? How old were you? Where were you?

CocoRosie: There was a bunch of half kisses first, like on the lips with no tongue etc. Then real kisses came finally. Pretty late in the game, I guess. I think I was 13 I kissed with lots of tongue and teeth and all kinds of icky things. Sloppy beer slobber kissing on a strangers stinky couch- it was a mess. I did a lot more than kiss that night.

Buzznet: What do you have hanging on your walls in your bedroom? Posters? Artwork?

CocoRosie: I rarely have a bedroom but last time I did, I had a poster of Tupac and I tacked little lists of beautiful words everywhere.

Buzznet: Are you superstitious about anything? If so, what and why?

CocoRosie: No, nothing. I never knock on wood or anything, I think its silly.

Buzznet: What movie do you watch when you are sad?

CocoRosie: White Chicks. Waynes World. This question is making me sad, making me want to drink and do some sloppy kissing. Being an adult is not all that. I could go back to kissing drunk skaters all night.

Buzznet: Which historical figure do you most identify? Why?

CocoRosie: Jean Genet, because he is French and gay with such an abundant/romantic imagination. Boys in prison, boys on boats…

Buzznet: Do you have a nickname?

CocoRosie: Okay this one is top secret: BIG LOUIE!

Buzznet: What text message or voicemail do you regret sending to someone so much that you will never forget doing it? Who was the person?

CocoRosie: I don’t know, I humiliate myself often. I love to drunk text from other people’s phones.

Buzznet: If you were to stop aging at a certain point in your life and then live forever at that age, what age would it be?

CocoRosie: I don’t know… 12 or 21.

Buzznet: Do you have any scars? If so what happened? If not name one imperfection on your body?

CocoRosie: I have a half moon shaped scar on my right hip bone from a surf board accident. Also lots of ex-lovers tattooed on me.

Buzznet: If you could travel back in time and have a chat with the you of 10 years ago, what advice would you give yourself?

CocoRosie: Make more love.

Buzznet: If it were your last meal ever, what would you feast on?

CocoRosie: Poisonous flowers.

Buzznet: If you could DJ any celebrities party who would it be and what song would you play when they entered?

CocoRosie: I don’t like any celebrities in particular. Rhianna I guess. I would play Akon’s I Want To F*ck You.

Buzznet: What was your first job? What was your worst job?

CocoRosie: Water girl at age 4 when all the kids in my family were working together detasseling corn. The first and the worst.

Daily Music Dose – The Hush Sound

The Hush Sound started back in 2004 when Greta Salpeter met Bob Morris in her first year of high school, while Bob was already in year 10. Their music styles profoundly different, Morris being a rock player and performer, while Salpeter a classically trained pianist. They are currently “on hiatus” but really, we all know this is just a fancy word for broken up.

Daily Music Dose – Plug In Stereo

Plug In Stereo consists of Trevor Dahl and an acoustic guitar. Dahl is relatively new to the indie-pop music scene since he only released his first album last year. The music is somewhat like an acoustic Owl City, where its simple easy listening songs. In other words, its happy music.

Daily Music Dose -Kissin’ Dynamite

Again it’s time for rock from Germany! It doesn’t happen very often that all I can say about a band is “WOW!”, especially when the band comes from Germany.

The band I want introduce now is the most stunning band I’ve seen in over 10 years!

At some time around the year 2001, a group of 9-11 year old boys from the Swabian Alb (Mountains), Germany, have formed a band, named “Blues Kids”.

Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson @ Kentucky Derby

Such grown ups.

Paramore @ Disney // April 2010

How cute are they?

Paramore @ Jimmy Fallon
